World Tallest Woman Dead

WASHINGTON: An American believed to be the world's tallest woman has died, nursing home staff told AFP on Thursday.

Sandy Allen, 53, who grew to be more than seven feet, seven inches tall died on Wednesday at a nursing home in Shelbyville, Indiana.

A spokeswoman for the Heritage House Convalescent Centre in Shelbyville said Allen "had been in failing health in recent years and died of natural causes".

She had been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's tallest woman. By the time she was 10, Allen already stood six foot three. By 16, she was over seven feet tall, the Indianapolis Star daily said.

It's believed that a tumour on her pituitary gland caused her abnormal growth. It was removed when Allen was in her 20s, but she continued to be affected by a variety of health issues related to her height, including poor circulation and weak leg muscles that kept her confined to a wheelchair in her later years.

While her height brought her and the town of Shelbyville fame, it also led to personal despair, especially in her late teens when she spoke about her height being an impediment to relationships.

The newspaper quoted a letter Allen is said to have written to Guinness in 1974 in which she said: "I would like to get to know someone that is approximately my height. It is needless to say my social life is practically nil and perhaps the publicity from your book may brighten my life."

Cambodian Team at Beijing Olympic

Cambodia has sent a total of 6 athletes and swimmer together with other 9 delegates to join the Beijing Olympic Game 2008. The delegates are including with King Sihamoni and Thong Kon , minister of tourism and Kol Pheng , minister of education. With just only 6 people I guess we don’t expect much from it. The most interesting fact I wana share here is that according to Xinhua news, the Cambodian team candidates were receiving only 30 USD per month form our National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC) while training for the competition. I wonder how can they survive with such a little stipend if they really invest their heart and soul into the game and I wonder how much will NOCC has been putting to support our Cambodian team.

Japan female born last year will live the longest

TOKYO (Reuters Life!) - Japanese girls born last year can expect to live until they are 86 years old, which would make them the longest survivors in the world, a report from the country's health ministry showed.

Boys born in 2007 can expect to live to the age of 79.2, ranking third after Iceland and Hong Kong, the report said.

Japan's females have topped the world's longevity ranks for 23 years, something researchers have attributed to their healthy diet and tight social ties, among other reasons.

The report is the latest sign thatJapan is ageing quicker than any other country, with government data showing a tenth of the population aged 75 years or older.

The proportion of those 65 years or older is also seen doubling to 40 percent by mid-century.

"People are in different social environments and are influenced by various factors and eating habits, so it's hard to answer the question of why people live long," a ministry spokesman said.

"But we can say that the improvement of medical technologies helps," the spokesman added. Japan has improved treatments for the ageing population's three biggest killers -- cancer, heart disease and stroke.

Japan also has one of the world's lowest birth-rates, leaving the government with the challenge of how to fund its pension requirements, take care of its elderly and maintain productivity.

Kuwait will help Cambodia to be the agricultural super power

It's good news to hear that Cambodia is claiming it's destiny back through recent economic potentials. In the recent meeting between Kuwait Premier Prince Shaykh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah and Priminister Hun Sen, Kuwait has pledged to help Cambodia to modernise it's agricultural industry and especially to supply its agricultural products to Kuwait market. Cambodia is expected to export rice at least 9 million tons per year after undertaking the investment while world largest rice exporter Thailand could export only 8 million tons per year and Vietnam only 5 millon tons. Currently , Cambodia only supplies 1.6 millon tons to international market and most of which to Thailand and Vietnam. I couldn't wait to see this happen very soon.

Time to Return

Another 2 months has just gone.
Back to the last 2 months , I was heading to Camobodia to see my solar film business, a jointed venture with my many other Singaporean friends. It's called S-COOL if it sounds familiar to you . It is now in the market for 6 months and we are doing very aggressive marketing to capture the entire market of solar film business in Cambodia. You can easily see the ads by reading magazine , newspaper , going to car wash shop and even sport center.
At first I thought of just foucusing on it and did nothing else. However, my experience was just more than what I could expect. It was a turning point of my life that I manage get something that I was wishing for years and that I was always hopeless for it. It was just a present from god or what we call " faith". Through the journey I've received alot of fun , warm and love.

Money

There was a man who worked all of his life and saved all of his money. He was a real miser when it came to his money. He loved money more than just about anything, and just before he died, he said to his wife, "Now listen, when I die, I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. I wanna take my money to the afterlife."

So he got his wife to promise him with all her heart that when he died, she would put all the money in the casket with him.

Well, one day he died. He was stretched out in the casket, the wife was sitting there in black next to her closest friend. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said "Wait just a minute!"

She had a shoe box with her, she came over with the box and placed it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the casket down and rolled it away. Her friend said, "I hope you weren't crazy enough to put all that money in the casket."

"Yes," the wife said, "I promised. I'm a good Christian, I can't lie. I promised him that I was going to put that money in that casket with him."

"You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in the casket with him?"

"I sure did. I got it all together, put it into my account and I wrote him a check."

My favorite love song - That's Why You Go Away

Baby want you tell me why there is sadness in your eyes
I don't wanna say goodbye to you
Love is one big illusion I should try to forget
But there is something left in my head

You're the one who set it up
Now you're the one to make it stop
I'm the one who's feeling lost right now
Now you want me to forget every little thing you said
But there is something left in my head

* CHORUS : I won't forget the way you're kissing
The feelings so strong were lasting for so long
But I'm not the man your heart is missing
That's why you go away I know

You were never satisfied no matter how I tried
Now you wanna say goodbye to me
Love is one big illusion I should try to forget
But there is something left in my head

* REPEAT CHORUS

Sitting here all alone in the middle of nowhere
Don't know which way to go
There is so much to say now between us
There ain't so much for you
There ain't so much for me anymore

Inside Your Heart

By David Mccaine

All long time I've wait for you
With my heart and my soul
Wishing for you and me
Together we stay happy
Just last week you gave me hope
But now you just said nope
You said we haven't started
Yet I always thought we already committed
Inside your mind I'm no longer needed
For a week time you judged me
Saying I'm not any good
To you I may no longer so suit

Kien Svay - You will never wish to go again

Today my friend Alex , Eugene ,Meiju and I were heading to Kien Svay . My last visit was probably 5 years ago and I didn't really like the place . I thought maybe there were some improvement after such along time. Kien Svay is the place where price cheating is such a damn notorious place .I have heard many people complaining about this but now it's my turn. We were expecting to kill our sunday time with the feeling of relax but it turned out to be the most horrible experience I've ever met.
When we arrived at that place , . a guy ran toward us by trying to lure us to rent a hut for 0.5 USD. I thought : " wow, that's pretty cheap. It can't be this cheap. This guy must be cheating me " . But , also I wanted to know how he was going to cheat me . I confirmed the price with him a few times before following him to the hut. After parking my car, while following him I saw many people shouting as if they were trying to fight for something but I didn't bother to listen to them. However, it gave the impression of unfriendliness of the people there. Looking at the other side , the market was crowded with people passing by and the foods were on the display with the dust flying everywhere. I thought " such a dirty place , why on earth people would consider it as a resort". Along the walkway toward the hut, garbage was everywhere on both sides and the lake is filled with a messy water plants scattering everywhere. Until I reached the hut, I could see another number of huts built in the middle of the lake so I checked the price with him and it was the same price. We took the boat to the other hut side. After that I ordered some dishes for lunch. I was on full alert in making the order by checking every single price very carefully. I ordered tomyam, fried and chicken and other miscellaneous like rice , ice , dried beef and squib. All the things that I did not clearly talk of pricing , I didn't dare to use. Even with a box of tissue, we didn't dare to open since we didn't ask the pricing. I have asked the sale lady on per dish basis to be 15000R but her arguement at the end was that the she replied to me with each price of chicken and she needs to use 7 small chickens for every dish. Plus with all the miscellaneous, it totals more than 500000 R . The moment I saw the bill , my eyes were almost drop off. What da fu*k !! you such a cheating bitch. We were arguing and screaming at each other for a very long time. I felt that if I were someone powerful, nobody would want to play such a game with me. If I had a gun with me , they wouldn't dare to cheat me like this. What I needed was just to pull out my gun and show them. I wish I had such a power to turn them away. But, I was stuck in the middle of the lake and could not walk away from them. Then , I tried to negociate to 200000 R. I felt that was a pretty high offer already I would not pay more than that. They still didn't want to take until they heard me seeking my friend's help to call police then they became soft a bit . I could see their behavior started to change when I was seeking third party's help , then I began to feel reluctant in giving them 200000 R but since I already talked to them I at the end decided to pay off and leave the place. Just a short while later , I received a phone call from my friend telling me that those who cheat customers have been caught many times to the police station. What a pity! I should have received the abit earlier than this.
I still felt very bad while driving back home. On one hand, I felt I need more power to stop people from bullying me. On the other hand, I felt why this thing is happening in Cambodia. Why were they so cunning yet brainless?. They would slowly kill their own business. Someone must step in to intervene this before it further spead down.
This is my last time in life to visit such a place unless a substantial improvement has been taken place. I will boycott from visiting that place and would be very happy to see it closed down someday.
We closed the page by going for a massage to relax ourselves after a very long tiring day =) It was good though

Very Funny Poem

I can't stop admiring this poem by Dave Feinberg

"I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root three
The three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nine
For nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmetic
I know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationality
When hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a three
As quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer
We break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wands
Our square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed".

Sidney Shieldon - my favorite author

I don't actually like to read book. I always feel very sleepy once I touch the book and read for about 10-20mn. Usually, I read book in the evening just to make myself feel sleepy then enjoy the harmony of my sleep. However, with Sidney's book , I love it. I couldn't wait to see what is going to happen in the next page every time I read his book. This is the book I have just finished reading.

It's about a girl fighting for her dream through real estate & development business after living in a sorrow and carefree childhood. She is the perfectionist and she can do everything just to get the thing done. Her zenith was when she almost finished her world tallest building project then problems started to happen. She is too greedy and because of her enemy, she fails.

I give Sideney a thumb up!!!

Chinese New Year Holiday

2 day trip to Kompong Som during this year Chinese New Year has gone and left me and my friends a fun and awful memory.

We couldn’t wait to go to Kompong Som in the early morning and the journey began with joy and laugh from all of us. It was not until I carelessly pump the water in the car water’s tank and forgot to tape back the cap. After driving 150km away , I realized something was wrong with the car and I glanced at the attention table and saw the temperature was at the highest level. I quickly drove to the side and checked out the problem. I found it – water tank’s cap was missing. Oh shit!! The smell was very strong from the engine and water was vaporized. That was the beginning of the horrible story. We were working together to fill in the water inside the car. We stopped for awhile and on the engine. After many repeating off and on the engine, ultimately the engine started running and we moved forward. However, we couldn’t go far because the temperature kept on rising. Until we found a car mechanic workshop, we can keep the water tank cap closed. I thought that was the end of the story but I was totally wrong. God wanted to play around with me. After that we moved on around 10 km , the same problem happened . We kept on doing the same work again and again and again until I was so fed up but no choice I had to do.

At 1:30pm , we reached Kompong Som after almost 8 hours drive from Phnom Penh. My friend’s friend brought me to a car mechanic shop and got the car repaired. While I was waiting hungrily, my friend went down to find hotel. Price was rocket and all hotels and guesthouses were full house and left only 1 room which cost 40 USD per day stay. 7 of us had no choice but got to squeeze together in that room. In the evening , the car was fixed and we were very happy and enjoyed our dinner at the beach. People from every corner of the country and oversea made a big crowd and the beach very happening. It was my first time seeing such a big crowd at the beach in the evening. Lighting, decorating and the laugh and smile of the people made the place such a pleasant tourist location. Many people fired the firework and created a “boom, boom “sound everywhere. We sang , we screamed , we played game. We had so much fun.

Tomorrow morning, we went to visit Koh Pos Island. I must give it a wow. It was such a beautiful, calm, and attractive nature. The scenery was amazing. I love it. We built sand castle , we played games and relaxed at the beach.

Until afternoon , we had our lunch and ready to go back home. I thought the car problem was fixed and we wouldn’t have that problem again. Who know? God still wanted play around with us. I drove for 50km , the temperature meter again move to the high level. Damn it!!! It was so irritating. I was so disappointed and felt no appetite to give a word. I knew, some of my friends felt very sick of it also. We went to see a car mechanic shop nearby and asked them to do check up. The mechanic said ‘ the problem is most likely because of the choking of the water tank and it requires an hour more to clean up , otherwise you need to fill the water in every time the temperature jump to high level” I decided not to get it fixed because of the timing is inappropriate. Then , we moved forward with a very slow speed. After 10km drive , temperature jumped high again. I felt so bad. After filling the water , we moved forward again. This time I could smile again because I can drive 23km before the temperature jumped high. We kept on moving until Yeay Mao then stopped to ask for a safe trip going home. Magically, temperature was at the normal level until we get back to Phnom Penh.

This trip was full of fun and troubles. Though many troubles we were experiencing but I felt happy because I could understand more about my friends and to some I felt less distant for friendship.

Look at this guys

Wat your handwriting say about you ?

What Your Handwriting Says About You

You are a fairly energetic person. You know how do pace yourself, and you deal well with stress.

You are very extroverted and outgoing. You are loving, friendly, and supportive. However, you are also manipulative and controlling at times.

You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.

You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.

You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous.

12 hours straight infront of my laptop watching movie =)

I have never been such a 12 hour straight movie fan like this time. Amazingly , this time i did it . Today is the public holiday in Cambodia , Pchum Ben , so nothing much to do and I am addicted to a series movie " Summerland " . So, I made it right away from the early morning 7 am until 7 pm straight haha except 10 minutes break for my lunch. The movie has taken away my eyes for every scene I was watching. Actor and actress or gorgeous , the kids are cute and funny and there are so much problems happening around in the family after parents were founded dead in a car accident. It was about trying to figure out what the hell actually is happening and get into it and kick it right away with a simple way of talking. From the beginging to the end, problems are hanging everywhere but they live very happily and never get prograstinated in solving the problem. It was about family replationship, love , the way American people live. I like the way Eva, who is acting like the mother of the house after the death of her sister and her bro in law . She is pretty calm, carring , devoting , and trying to solve every problem before it becomes too late. People do apologize and thank you once they understand their mistake.

One day a little girl came running into her house yelling, "Mommy, I got five dollars!" The mother was curious, so she asked her child where she got the five dollars from. The little girl replied: ''Tommy down the street gave me five dollars for doing cartwheel while he sat in the tree. The mother told her daughter: "Don't you know that Tommy is just trying to see your panties."''OOOOhhhh'' said the little girl. The next day the little girl came running into the house yelling, "Mommy, I got ten dollars. The mother asked, "Where did you get the ten dollars from?"The little girl replied, "Tommy down the street gave me ten dollars for doing a cartwheel while he sat up in the tree and laughed."The mother replied: "Didn't I tell you that he is...''Before the mother could finish, the little girl said, ''Wait Mommy! I tricked him, I didn't wear any panties today.''

Solution to traffic problem in Phnom Penh city

Phnom Penh, a city of more than 2 million dwellers ( 2006 est ) , and the heart of the business and political center in Cambodia . During the 1920s to 1960s, it was known as the Pearl of Asia but glumly turned into unrest political turmoil and then horribly a ghost house during the late 1970s. Though recently situation is much better than the darkness era, major social problems still ecstatically view the city as their paradise. Among which, traffic jam and accident are by at large caused by the recklessness and lawless of the drivers and especially motor riders.

What is funny here is that those drivers have created their own traffic rules.

Green light: It’s my way. I can drive whatever speed I want
Red light : Not my way though, but I glance at left and right then double my speed
Yellow light : Top speed

Consequently, when worse comes to worst , you can get stuck there for hours until there is an intervention of the traffic police. However, the question is “Why don’t they dig for the root of the problem and solve it with law that is already passed by the National Assembly? Why do they step in only when problem is already occurred?” This is not to mention of the low ranking officers who are given an undeserved salary of 20 to 30 USD per month but those who are the chief traffic police officers.

To my idea, I suggest a construction of a roof at each corner of the crossroad that protects them against the sunlight. This is because most of the time , the temperature is very hot and they always look for somewhere to escape from the sunlight. Likewise, we see people driving under the shadow of the tree more than anywhere of the road. Once we build a roof for them to relax at each corner of the crossroads, they will slow down the speed and relax under the cool roof with a mighty air while waiting for the green light to come. Therefore, there will be less accidents and similarly less traffic jam at the crossroad. However, it’s applicable only when the weather is hot but how about at night or during the raining season? I believe people will get used to it when they apply it so often in the day time.

Here is an innovative idea to solve traffic problem in Denmark. Not sure if we should apply it also ? haha... By the way, girl under 21 is not allowed to watch this clip, and if you insist , I sincerely apologize in advance ...

THe BOoK I aM REaDing....

I decided instead waking up looking for toys to play or wasting my time checking my friend's blogs ( just kidding ) , I will read this book . I know I will never ever finish if I don't put the constrainst on my reading , so I decided to put it as 1 chapter for 1 day :). I was turned down many times because of those unfriendly bold Ph.D authors who on earth never ever wrote an understandable book , at least to me , that I could proudly say" Yes, I understand what da hec you mean ". However, the world we are living always entail us to be resilent, otherwise we're DEAD. This time I will give myself one more chance because I find this book more friendly than others ;).

What You Mean To Me =)

I wrote your name on sand, it got washed
I wrote your name in air, it was blown away, then
I wrote your name on my heart and I got heart attack.

God saw me hungry, He created pizza
He saw me thirsty, He created Pepsi
He saw me in the dark, He created light
He saw me without problems, He created YOU.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
You should know what you are
And once you know what you are
Mental hospital is not so far.

The rain makes all things beautiful,
The grass and flowers too
If rain makes all things beautiful,
Why doesn't it rain on you?

Roses are red, violets are blue
Monkeys like you should be kept in zoo
Don't feel so angry you will find me there too
Not in cage but laughing at you,

When your life is in the darkness,
Pray to God ask Him to free you from the darkness,
And if after you pray and you are still in the darkness,
Please pay your ELECTRICITY BILL!!!

Khmer Krom being abused

This video shows how Khmer Krom people were suffering and told by the Khmer Krom People

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBJEkg2ttpY&mode=related&search=

Khmer Krom , the indigeneous Cambodian people living in today along Mekon Delta in southern Vietnam, were recently been reported to have been terribly abused by the Hanoi authories . This has led to the strong stand up of oversea Cambodian to protest against the Vietnamese government across the globe such as in US, Canada, Australia , France etc ...
Khmer Krom people are living under the eyes of authories and have been always accused as the separatist or spy of the Khmer Krom Federation based in US ,also a member of Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization ( UNPO ). Thus, many especially buddist monks have been disrobed , imprisoned or killed by the VN authority. Khmer Krom are not allowed to go out from from VN or by all mean very hard to get out . They will be imprisoned when they go back if they dare to go try to escape to go abroad or Cambodia. Not only that I heard from the news but with the real people that i have met . People who can escape to Cambodia or abroad will never go back , he told me , a monk I met in Chargi airport when I went back home a few month ago.
Hopefully, history will change when time is moving and wish that all the people can live in peace.I don't wish that Ho Chi Minh can be returned back to Cambodia someday but just hope that Khmer Krom people to be able to live peacefully, happily and be respected like others in their indigenous homeland.
To my dear vietnamese friends, you will be the tomorrow of VN leaders. Hopefully, you will understand that we are all human and we all want to live a happy life so do the Khmer Krom people .

I used to be a soy fan but now hehe... should i continue ?;P

I have nothing against an occasional soy snack. Soy is nutritious and contains lots of good things. Unfortunately, when you eat or drink a lot of soy stuff, you're also getting substantial quantities of estrogens.

Estrogens are female hormones. If you're a woman, you're flooding your system with a substance it can't handle in surplus. If you're a man, you're suppressing your masculinity and stimulating your "female side," physically and mentally.

In fetal development, the default is being female. All humans (even in old age) tend toward femininity. The main thing that keeps men from diverging into the female pattern is testosterone, and testosterone is suppressed by an excess of estrogen.

If you're a grownup, you're already developed, and you're able to fight off some of the damaging effects of soy. Babies aren't so fortunate. Research is now showing that when you feed your baby soy formula, you're giving him or her the equivalent of five birth control pills a day. A baby's endocrine system just can't cope with that kind of massive assault, so some damage is inevitable. At the extreme, the damage can be fatal.

Soy is feminizing, and commonly leads to a decrease in the size of the penis, sexual confusion and homosexuality. That's why most of the medical (not socio-spiritual) blame for today's rise in homosexuality must fall upon the rise in soy formula and other soy products. (Most babies are bottle-fed during some part of their infancy, and one-fourth of them are getting soy milk!) Homosexuals often argue that their homosexuality is inborn because "I can't remember a time when I wasn't homosexual." No, homosexuality is always deviant. But now many of them can truthfully say that they can't remember a time when excess estrogen wasn't influencing them.

Doctors used to hope soy would reduce hot flashes, prevent cancer and heart disease, and save millions in the Third World from starvation. That was before they knew much about long-term soy use. Now we know it's a classic example of a cure that's worse than the disease. For example, if your baby gets colic from cow's milk, do you switch him to soy milk? Don't even think about it. His phytoestrogen level will jump to 20 times normal. If he is a she, brace yourself for watching her reach menarche as young as seven, robbing her of years of childhood. If he is a boy, it's far worse: He may not reach puberty till much later than normal.

Research in 2000 showed that a soy-based diet at any age can lead to a weak thyroid, which commonly produces heart problems and excess fat. Could this explain the dramatic increase in obesity today?

Recent research on rats shows testicular atrophy, infertility and uterus hypertrophy (enlargement). This helps explain the infertility epidemic and the sudden growth in fertility clinics. But alas, by the time a soy-damaged infant has grown to adulthood and wants to marry, it's too late to get fixed by a fertility clinic.

Worse, there's now scientific evidence that estrogen ingredients in soy products may be boosting the rapidly rising incidence of leukemia in children. In the latest year we have numbers for, new cases in the U.S. jumped 27 percent. In one year!

There's also a serious connection between soy and cancer in adults – especially breast cancer. That's why the governments of Israel, the UK, France and New Zealand are already cracking down hard on soy.

In sad contrast, 60 percent of the refined foods in U.S. supermarkets now contain soy. Worse, soy use may double in the next few years because (last I heard) the out-of-touch medicrats in the FDA hierarchy are considering allowing manufacturers of cereal, energy bars, fake milk, fake yogurt, etc., to claim that "soy prevents cancer." It doesn't.

P.S.: Soy sauce is fine. Unlike soy milk, it's perfectly safe because it's fermented, which changes its molecular structure. Miso, natto and tempeh are also OK, but avoid tofu.

Dilemma - Anyone got any idea?

What would you do if your company’s turnover is negative and you also expect a negative profit in the future for a few years? You can’t predict how worse your company will be performing within these few years. You may incur little loss or substantial loss. However, there is little chance that you will be in a terrible substantial loss. In a few years after, your company’s performance will be doing as usual. You might want to close your company and reopen it in a few years later or venture into a new business but let’s put a dilemma here. If you close your company you will expect a future lawsuit against you for not being able to deliver your promise. You will be penalized financially by the court. How are you going to solve this problem? You might want to calculate NPV and compare between the 2 but the expected loss is unpredictable. Any idea how to solve it? Some may risk to shutdown because it will be a one time punishment. While others may still be going with the project and continue for a few years with hope that the performance will not be worse come to worst. What is your ideas ?

Announcement from IT support center

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING !!!

It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0 . It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/ Child Support .

I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is to enter the command C:APOLOGIZE! because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway. Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance .

Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0 , Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2 . However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5 .

Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 !

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3 . This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system!

Best of luck,
Tech Support

Buddism on the decline road

Around 1130 am in the morning , I was having lunch at a hawker center nearby my house. In the meantime, a buddist monk appeared in the crowd at the hawker center asking for donation or " Ben Bart" in Cambodian. I used to think that was only happen in my hometown where buddism is the national religion and also the most critic religion but had never thought there is such thing in Singapore. The monk was walking around from one table to another , however nobody was please to donate a single cent. I felt that there is nothing different between the beggar and a respectful monk if he were to do the same thing as the beggar did. I think there should be a clear cut rules and regulations on timing , places and the way to approach people when monks are allowed to go out and ask for donations. In today world, buddism should change from traditionally a supported body by the people to a supporting organization which is able to provide benefits to the people. Otherwise, gradually pagoda will become a beautiful ghost building .

How did Singapore make a fortune ?

What contribute to Singapore success?

To answer this question, let’s look back to the history of Singapore. Thanks to the generous idea given by Sir Raffle, that Singapore was to be a free trade zone as he realized the history of Tamasek – a lively of trading island in about 800 years ago, studied from the Chinese record. It was this idea that brought Singapore from a green island with only forest covered to a lively cosmopolitan city. Many left their homeland to Singapore, most of which were Chinese, to enjoy the benefit of having no taxations and cheap price products. However, that is just only at the front stage, while at the back stage since it was so free a society , criminals , prostitution and opium were the big challenges for the people of Singapore in that age. The East Indian Company was unwilling to solve nor any idea to stop it. When Lee Kuan Yew came back from England where he got his degree in Law and Economics, he convinced himself and a few of his friends to run a political party. The question is how did he get the supports? He looked around and be friend with 2 worker leaders and was able to convince the two to join party PAP, People Action Party. The people went on to strike against the British for independence; hence many people were detained including the 2 worker leaders. This had paved the way for Lee Kuan Yew to go gain the support without obstacle and soon became the Singapore priminister. He went to Malaysia make a political union and put Singapore under a state of Malaysia. In the 1960s, Malaysia was afraid of overwhelming of the Chinese population and thus wanted Singapore to follow Malay new constitutional law, which discriminate against the Chinese, however, it was apposed by PAP. After the worst racial violent had happened, Malaysia decided to abandon Singapore and gave independency to Singapore. It was thought a sugar coat to Singaporean and even Mr. Lee was giving his speech live on television with tear. What should Singapore do next? How could Singapore survive in such a small island without the support of Malaysia?

Thanks to the Cultural Revolution and political uncertainty in China, most western company moved from Taiwan and Hong Kong to Singapore and the government the played the role of making a trouble free and investment friendly environment to potential investors. Cheap and productive labor, 100% foreign ownership, no frightening strike, low crime rate and robbery, Singapore could attract more and more investors. In the 1980s, it became the most leading electronic product producer in Asia. Not just waiting for the action from entrepreneur, the government itself went further with their own investment, where Singapore Airline was born. Lee Kwan Yew strictly advised the company to make profit rather than just being used by the government officers. Later , he went on to housing control and so on so forth.

To sum up in short, the answer is LUCK + PEOPLE.

Journey on Art Workshop

It was amazing during my elated Art workshop journey, firstly, with the Photoshop workshop and secondly for today painting. The starting was a bit boring; however, later the boot was on the other foot. Needless to say, everybody knows Photoshop is super amazing. It was a half day workshop, so it was still a very basic though. I wish I could know the function as much as possible and could a produce beautiful piece of works. On the other hand, for painting the blending is magic. You can have only quite a few numbers of colors on the table, still you will be able to produce so many colors. In the workshop, it was quite boring to just listening to the instructor talking, but once I took out the pencil and brush to draw, it was quite fun haha. Several produced nice and funny pictures and sadly it was not me … Anyway, the attached beautiful photo above is drawn by me … haha… I know you will give me a WOW for such a beautiful drawing. But never mind, just keep it with you =) ( Singlish we say "Just keep it Lah" )

Today, at least I could widen my eyes on the art of painting and it was due to the sterling painting and color blending of the drawing that I always thought was nothing. Ok , just this much to share with you all . Let enjoy the picture and don’t get amazed too much

True love or Positive love??

Love has been always a frequent debatable topic among youngsters, and many has given different definitions about love or so called " true love ". Let me put it this way , " true love " is happened to both individuals whom no matter what consequences they will face will never alter their desire of feeling please to bond together. True love doesn't take into consideration of where you are from , who you are , how you look or what reason for individual to live , as long as they have the desire to stick together , that will consider as true love . While positive love is the love of individuals who foresee there future. Positive love couples have to share common goals of life and strike to get what they both wish to get or at least their wishes are similar . They prioritize their life's goal at the top list more than anything else. How would you decide? if you are given 2 options ; first , to stay with your beloved one but that will not achieve what you wish to get in life ; second, you will achieve your goals in life but stay with someone that your love is not as strong as your dreamt one.

Thanksgiving

Since the early of 17th century, the first Thanksgiving has been celebrated in Virginia, North America. The event is named differently from one country to another, though the concept is quite the same. The origin of Thanksgiving in US was to show gratefulness of the pilgrims, who traveled to the land of opportunities for religious purposes, to the native American , red Indian, who taught them to grow corns, catch the fishes , in order to survive in the new land.

In the US, it is celebrated in the 4th week of November. Over the year, Thanksgiving has not been used to thank only the Native American, but also it has become the symbol of festival seasons – School holiday, Merry Christmas, New Year etc.

Likewise, I am on the early state of my school holiday, after the headache and suffering pains SMU had given me. With this precious opportunity, Please allow me to show my gratefulness to YOUs with this word of THANKS.

  • Thanks to my beloved grandma and grandpa who raised me up when I was almost died in my early childhood!
  • Thanks to my parents, my brothers and sisters who played the part to bring me up to here!
  • Thanks to visitors who read my blog and comment on it.
  • Thanks to my friends who always trust me and support me and want to see me rise.
  • Thanks to my coolie family and friends who gave me an unforgettable life in Singapore.
  • Thanks to those who criticized me as I can reflect it to myself for my future growth.
  • Thanks to TIME which is my biggest asset worth more than anything else and intangible spirits whom I know will always help me.
  • Lastly, Thanks to my beloved country that I would feel guilty if I couldn’t do anything to help it to stand more firm.

Singapore Water

Singapore Water

Of one day, the total population in Singapore consumes 300 million US gallons of water (One U.S. gallon equals 3.785 x 10-3 cubic meter), of which water supplies came from 4 sources, Catchment, Imported, NEWater, and Desalinated water.

Catchment water
Catchment water is the water collected from rainfall across Singapore. The reservoirs have been located about half of the Singapore surface area. Moreover, there is a proposal for a huge reservoir to be built in 2009 at Marina Bay, which could lead the reservoirs area to be two-third of the total island area. Now, the weight of water consumption from catchment is accounted for 50 % of total consumption.

Imported Water
Apparently, water is worth invaluable in Singapore, as the island is insufficiently supplied by its own available resources. Consequently, external support is vital. Malaysia has been playing an important role in each and individual Singaporean’ lives, which is to give water support to Singapore. Nearly 50% of everyday water consumption is imported from Malaysia. Analyzing the weakness of Singapore, water has always been used as a threat to Singapore in any conflicts.

Desalinated Water
Due to the obvious weakness of Singapore, the government has been trying to push up any new water project as to increase her independency of water resources in the island. September 13, 2006, Singapore opened Asia’s largest desalinated plant in Tuas. This new plant will be able to supply 30 million US gallons, which equals 10% of the total consumption.

NEWater
The plant is to turn the used water into new usable water, as its name referred. 94% of its water is used to supply for industrial use, while another 6% will come to daily consumption. The process has gone through 4 stages to finalize NEWater product.

Stage 1 ( Microfiltration ) : The water pipe will trap the polluted particles like viruses , bacteria , etc and allow only the salts and organic molecules to go through the membrane.

Stage 2 ( Reverse Osmosis ) : This stage allows only as small as water molecules to go through .

Stage 3 ( UV purification ) : At this stage , the UV disinfection will make sure the water is 100% clean .

Stage 4 : Water is readjusted to have a neutral PH and minerals are added into the water .

My Finance Class

Game & Life

Life is exactly like a game, but even more challenge than what it is in the game. In every minute , each of us has to find our way to get out of troubles. To day You have this problem , and tomorrow You will have another new problem, go on and on . Once the problems solved , doesn't mean that you are free , it always return back to hang around with you and you have to fight it again . Therefore , life requires consisitency , and alertness , otherwise we can be pulled down at anytime. In other words , if we fail to solve today's problem , tomorrow the new problem will add in to the existing one . So, everything ideally should be cleared as soon as you realize the problem....

Sinking of Japan

Sinking of Japan is one of the uprising popular movie recently. The story began with world scientist prediction that Japan will sink in less than 40 years time . However ,Japanese scientist, Dr.Roger , who studies about earthquake eruption and prediction of Japan , Based on his study and analysis of whatever under the sea, which I'm also not quite sure, he came up the prediction that Japan archipelago will sink in 338.54 days , however, his theory was thought as crap . No one ever believe him abouth this theory . Even worst than that , the eruption of earthquake and tidal wave ( some kinds of what we saw in Tsunami ) came even faster than that . Skycrapers, bridges, and buildings were all collapsed in a minute . Beautiful mountain Fuji became the all under arrested by fire. National heritage of Japan were brought to oversea. All Japan corporate stocks and bonds drop drastically, as people starting selling Japanese bonds & stocks. People were fleed to foreign countries designed by the state. However , not all of them can escape from this sour and terrible disaster, some people died because of the separation of the brigde or the fallen stones from the mountain onto them. It was very miserable and touching to see such a fearful disaster. At the last part of the movie , it was even more touching ever , Dr. Roger found out how to stop Japan from sinking to the ocean , which to bomb at the seabase by using N2 bomb ( quite similar to atomic bomb ) to put into the oil drilling marchine so that it will cut part of the land from falling down to the sea. 2 heros for the sake of the whole Japanese people , didn't migrate to oversea , but sacrified themselves in the sea to get the mission completed . To me , my heart was very touching when both of them pass away of such a respectful maner.

Actually , this movie was based on the Japanese scientific fiction " Japan Sinks " published in 1973. 6.4 million copied was sold and generate 40million of revenue at that time ...

I wonder if such a thing could ever happen to Japan as Japan hit the record in earthquake eruption ?
